Cannabis Is Our State Flower

Small Batch Cannabis | Sustainably Grown

Friends & Founders

We were founded by friends in the late 90s. State Flower grew from a smoker-centered perspective; with the utmost quality in mind, we began our journey. Back then, we grew to produce the best-in-class flower for the best experience possible. Today, these values still hold true. With these criteria in mind, we have created a way of growing that keeps our flowers pure and clean, with your enjoyment at the forefront.

Grown with Care

We grow our cannabis hydroponically and indoors, feeding our flowers a proprietary blend of bio-mineral nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. Because we are small, our team touches each plant constantly pruning, supporting the canopy and ensuring nurture at every level. After a two-week slow climate-controlled drying process, each batch of flowers is hand-trimmed and carefully cured.

What is Small Batch Cannabis?

Our flowers are grown in San Francisco with fewer batches to ensure freshness. State Flower is dedicated to developing a clean, safe cultivation process. Our team is small and nimble, able to provide attention and care to produce the quality we are obsessed with.

State Flower Legends Never Die Strains

OG Kush

  • THC Content: 24-28%
  • Flavor Profile: Gassy citrus
  • Terpene Profile: Limonene, Myrcene, Linalool

Description: OG Kush and other Kush varieties were direct descendants of landrace cannabis grown in an area near the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan in the Hindu Kush Mountain range. This would explain the many different phenotypes of Kush developed over centuries of hybridizing.

Durban Poison - Exclusive Pheno

  • THC Content: 28 - 29%
  • Flavor Profile: Peppermint, Pine Needles, and Blueberry
  • Terpene Profile: Myrcene, Terpinene, Phellandrene

Description: Pure Sativa. Rich in THCv, making it an effective appetite suppressant with a super uplifting and energetic effect. State Flower co-founder Daniel Wacks and our friends at Purple City Genetics in Oakland share South African roots and a love for Durban Poison.

Granddaddy Purple

  • THC Content: 24 – 28%
  • Flavor Profile: Grapes, Dark Chocolate, Peat
  • Terpene Profile: Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Pinene

Description: Grandaddy Purple aka GDP. The Bay Area’s most legendary purple strain. State Flower has been proudly growing GDP since 2009.

Jack Herer

  • THC Content: 29 - 30%
  • Flavor Profile: Earthy, Pine, Spicy
  • Terpene Profile: Terpinolene, Caryophyllene, Ocimene

Description: Jack Herer was developed by Sensei Seeds in the mid 80s and was named after the activist and author of The Emperor Wears no Clothes, a book about how hemp can save the world.

Jack Herer is actually a 50/50 hybrid, although the phenotypes most widely circulated in California exhibit strong sativa characteristics. However, according to Sensei Seeds, only three out of four F1 phenotypes of Jack exhibit these traits, while the fourth has more dominant indica characteristics.

From the Source

When it comes to breeding legendary genetics, the Pacific Coast reigns supreme, and State Flower honors heritage—keeping it alive in every plant we grow. Creating new genetics is challenging, and breeders often need to be given the credit they deserve. We constantly test new genetics, and as we identify the keepers, we will continue to pay homage to the breeders devoted to bringing us the next great strain.
